Donovan R. Phillips

President & Owner

Don is the President of Mountain Creek Contractors and was one of the company’s founders, building the company with a strong focus on delivering solutions and ensuring the satisfaction of its client. He leads the organization with a hands-on approach to keeping projects on track and ensuring the prompt completion of work on its contracts, which have included several hundred concrete structures of various types and sizes, in addition to road and sitework construction, design and planning services.

He has a long record of project and executive management experience in the construction industry, overseeing projects from Georgia to New York. His project experience includes both public and private, including private master-planned developments, public infrastructure and highway and bridge construction projects.

Andrew Wyatt

Executive Vice President

Andrew has been with Mountain Creek Contractors since 2017, after his graduation from NC State University. He began as a Project Engineer and has learned the Mountain Creek way directly under Don’s tutelage.

Steven Bateman

Operations Manager

Steven has previously worked on highway projects from 2013-2016 throughout the state of North Carolina as a general laborer and operator, giving him a wide array of construction experience. He started at Mountain Creek in February of 2016 as an equipment operator and was then promoted to a grading foreman. After completing his construction management degree at ECU and continuous hard work as a foreman, he earned his current title of Operations Manager.

Steven is a dedicated problem-solver and works with both clients and personnel on a day-to-day basis helping overcome obstacles and ensuring the project/ manager has what they need to succeed.
